Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 15, 2026
A quick note
We've written this policy to be clear and straightforward.
Continuity Capture is designed for real-world production use. We collect only what's needed to make the app work, keep your productions private, and support you when needed.
This Privacy Policy uses the same defined terms as our Terms of Service, including “Service,” “Production,” “Admin,” and “Content.” Please refer to Section 1 of the Terms of Service for full definitions.
1. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Continuity Capture (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Continuity Capture mobile app (the “Service”).

- Basic device and app information (e.g., app version, device type, device identifiers)
- IP address (used for basic service operation and security)
- Log data related to app performance, errors, and usage
- Crash reports and diagnostics collected through Firebase Crashlytics
We do not collect more information than is necessary to operate the Service.
3. How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide and operate the Service
- Sync data across your devices and team members
- Enable collaboration within productions
- Improve app performance and reliability
- Provide support when you request it
We do not sell your personal data.
Where required by applicable law, we process your information based on legitimate interests in operating the Service, performance of our contract with you, or with your consent.
4. Production privacy
Productions are private by default.
- Only invited and approved team members can access a production
- Content is not visible to other productions
- We do not use your production content for marketing or public display
5. AI features
Continuity Capture may use AI-powered tools to help organize, tag, and review images.
- We do not use your photos or data to train AI models
- Your content is processed only to provide features within the app
- Your content is never shared across productions
AI processing may involve trusted third-party services. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes.
Images sent for AI processing are not retained by these services beyond what is necessary to process the request. AI-generated tags, descriptions, or outputs are stored within your production as part of the Service.
6. How your data is stored
Local storage
Data is stored on your device for fast, offline access.
Cloud storage (team features)
- Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Google
- Photos are protected using industry-standard encryption practices, including encryption at rest
- Data is synced across approved team members' devices
Local copies of production data may remain on devices that have accessed the project.
Data transfer
Your data may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.
7. Access and control
Admin control
Production admins control:
- who can join a production
- roles and permissions
- removal of members
If you are removed from a production:
- your access is revoked
- the app will attempt to remove locally stored production data from your device
Your choices
You may:
- update your account information
- request account deletion by contacting us at support@continuitycapture.app
- leave a production at any time
We will process account deletion requests within 30 days. Deletion of production content is controlled by the production admin, as content belongs to the production, not to individual users.
8. Data retention
- Production content is retained as long as the production exists
- When a production is archived, cloud-stored photos and files may be permanently deleted while metadata is retained
- Local data may remain on devices unless removed by the app or the user
We retain limited logs and system data as needed for security, support, and legal compliance.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information.
- Access is restricted to invited and approved team members
- Data is stored using secure cloud infrastructure
- Industry-standard security practices are used to protect data in transit and at rest
We do not access your production data unless required to provide support or resolve an issue at your request.
No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
10. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share limited information with:
- Service providers (e.g., cloud hosting, crash reporting, AI processing) strictly to operate the Service
- Legal authorities if required by law
These providers are required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us. A current list of third-party service providers is available upon request.
11. Children's privacy
Continuity Capture is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Additionally, use of the Service requires that you be at least 18 years old or have permission from an employer or legal guardian, as described in our Terms of Service.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
